Behind the Scenes with Abs!

As we get back to a life that resembles some of the normalities of the past, we are looking back over a year that has changed us all.

It has undoubtedly been the biggest challenge in many of our lives; socially, emotionally and in business or our careers… However, through the hard times there have been many shoots of happiness, with new hobbies and habits, and a new found respect for what we had before.

Recently we published a ‘behind the scenes’ interview with one of our owners Francis. So today we will be introducing you to one of our incredibly talented agents, Abs, who joined us during the pandemic period. We hope you find it interesting and possibly comforting, as you see yourself in some of the things we’ve been up to!

Here is what Abs had to say about his past year and also looking forward in the marketplace:

Q. What is your position in company?

Ans: Sales Agent

Q. What drove you to get involved in selling properties?

Ans: I met owners Francis and Emma through our local business networking group, BNI, when I had a street-food catering company. When Covid hit and gatherings were not permitted and they approached me, as they knew my business was struggling and I had a strong sales background in the motor trade for 15 years. We all got on really well and it was a case of ‘I’ve got nothing to lose’. I also love dealing with people. So I went for it and haven’t regretted it for 1 second!

Q. What hobbies did you pick up during lockdown?

Ans: My wife and I had a baby during lockdown. So my main hobby was attempting to get some sleep!!

Q. What would your advice for working from home be after the past year?

Ans: Take a few breaks and go for a walk to clear your head. Home life and work together can be challenging. So take some time out and you’ll be more productive.

Q. What are you most looking forward to now the world is opening up?

Ans: Meeting family/friends and going out for dinner at various restaurants

Q. What is your current view on the property market and where do you see it going over the coming months?

Ans: The market is buoyant and properties, if marketed correctly, are selling in the space of days. I believe this will carry on for some time, as stock is very low. So there are more buyers than properties on the market currently. Until stock improves the demand will still be at large, as we’ve seen multiple buyers trying to buy the same property. It’s a great time to sell to maximise value for your onward move!
